September 2021

We’re open for business again, and so happy to be finally offering classes!!

Current Covid 19 health protocols require all persons in the guild wear a mask at all times. All persons registered for classes must provide a POV (proof of vaccination) for the coronavirus; this will cover them for the duration of their class, and any extra time spent in the guild potting. If you are NOT vaccinated, you must provide a NEGATIVE Rapid Covid Test from within the past 72 hours, each and every time you enter the guild.

We are operating under guidance from the Dow Center and AHS and must comply with all direction if we want to hold classes. Thank you for understanding.

December 9, 2020

Oh boy, here we go again. Sadly, due to rising Covid-19 cases and mandatory health measures we must once again close our doors. We are still open this Friday December 11 from 4 – 8 pm, and from 9:30 am till 4 pm Saturday December 12. However….

As of midnight Saturday December 12, we are closed for all activities for a minimum of 4 weeks. Hopefully we can bend the curve, get back on track, and reopen for classes, sales, and other fun activities in the new year.

Until then, stay safe, stay home, wear a mask. Have a very merry Christmas, and we REALLY REALLY hope to see you in January. Stay tuned!!!

September 2/2020

Hello everyone!! It feels so good to update our status with some good news…it’s been a long spring and summer without a whole lot of pottery going on, but the good news is, we’re back! We are starting our Fall Session on September 21 with  a few changes including class size, sanitization procedures, masking etc, to comply with Alberta Health guidelines. Unfortunately, we have decided that all children’s programs will be suspended until further notice – this is a really tough call for us as we know how much kids have been missing out on since March, and we miss all the little potters shining faces. We are really hoping to be all in after Christmas, please keep checking back for further updates.

Our adult class sizes are limited to 10 students, and members have priority registration benefits. Once we have determined that all members interested in returning have registered, any remaining spots will be open to the public.

Registration Day is Saturday September 12, in person at the guild, from 10 am til 2 pm,  but we will be updating this website with open spots in each class as soon as we know the numbers.  Due to reduced class sizes we will likely not be able to accommodate everyone who wishes to register, as much as we’d like to have things back to normal. For more info on classes please check out the Fall Registration page. Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to seeing as many of you as we can.

June 29/2020

Hello everyone! We hope everyone is healthy and coping with the new normal that is Covid-19. Unfortunately at this time we are still closed to the public, our gallery remains closed, all classes are still cancelled. We hope to open soon, please check back for further information. We really really miss  being open and hope to see you soon!

While we are still closed to the public, we are able to open to members on a restricted basis, following AHS guidelines regarding Covid-19 health and safety measures.

All members MUST book time with the guild president Margaret Minifie-Clouter as part of the re-opening.

Take the Screening Questionnaire before coming to the guild. The questionnaire is a new tab under the COVID19 tab.

The Relaunch Guidelines are also posted under the COVID19 tab, PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT before you make plans to start potting again!!

Welcome back potters! Practice safe potting so we can stay open, and re-open to the public as soon as possible.
